When the Market opens Friday morning, the moon will be on the cusp of the eleventh house of Aries. What a way to end the week!
Transiting Mercury is in Cancer in the first house, where much good can come of everything we decide!! About time, eh?
Transiting Venus is in Gemini, in the markets twelfth house of secrets, enemies, undoing, and tragedy. With the Golden Girl in the sign of duality, we must be circumspect over sharing our secrets, information, and opinion!
Mars is in the fourth house, in Virgo; we could lose everything if we are unwise now. Mars in almost conjunct transiting Saturn, itself at the fateful karmic degree of 29 Virgo; when they kiss, a war will erupt; watch the 13th, 14th and 15th of this month.
The sun is in sidereal Cancer, in the first house of honesty, openess, and being who we really are. Natural optimists will shine now.
Transiting Saturn is in the fourth house, backed into Virgo; this is the house of endings, in the sign of discernment and caution. We must proceed with stability and wisdom, or things will come to an end.
Pluto is touring the sign of Sagittarius in the markets sixth house, or place of employees, servants, sickness, food, our jobs, clothing, health care, and service. Now retrograde, it does much less damage!
The position of Uranus in the ninth house of foreign affairs tells us all we need to know about what is causing the chaos! Uranus the wildcard touches all long journeys, foreign countries, dreams, visions, psychic experiences, education, and all sciences. The Awakener is now retrograde, so our natural internal alarm system may be all out of sync. Be aware!
Transiting Jupiter is in the eleventh house of hopes, fears, wishes, groups, large groups, unions, and The Collective in the glorious sign of Taurus.
Transiting Neptune the nebulous is in the sign of Aquarius, in the eighth house, of tax hikes, scandals galore, and dark deeds.
I remain optimistic about the future of Capitalism, and our country, especially since it has galvanized so many of the silent majority!
Wall Street Watch
The Stock Market was incorporated on May 17, 1792, at 8 52 AM Local mean sidereal time, in New York, New York, specifically Wall Street.
We have a beautiful Cancer rising, as befits an American institution, at 26 degrees, with Uranus in Cancer at 23 degrees in the first house, on the cusp of the second. The Wildcard of the zodiac attracts windfalls and wipeouts, but only to those who are as reckless as the planet itself. How uniquely American! Anyone can make good here, if they want to do the work, and attain their freedom by their own shrewdness and hard work!
The Wounded Healer is also at 23 degrees, in the twelfth house of Gemini; this puts it also on the ascendant of the Market, letting us know that we can learn from our mistakes and rebound. I
In the 3rd house we find Mars at 26 degrees of Leo; the third house of a national or business house represents The Press, popular opinion, and We the People, so we know that the Market can indeed be driven by our own energy and determination. Mars in Leo is a lot of fire, many new ideas shooting forth, many innovations and initiating influences, not all of which will prosper. We must use our heads! Leo includes children, recreational activities, hospitality, and the notion of chivilry; the weak, the helpless, defenseless, mothers, and the ill in this process deliberately; no one is left out who wants to take their shot.
In the 4th house, we have Jupiter conjunct Neptune, at 1 and 5 degrees Libra, both retrograde. This lets us see clearly that we can hear Divine Inspiration in our dreams, or in the voice of the people at our table, or anywhere at home, in regard to what we can do with the market. We can be the saving rock of charitable institutions, the force behind industry, or just as well perpetrate a huge scam, like Bernie Madoff. The market runs on our intentions; if these are good we can be a positive force in the world. If greed motivates us, it's our problem!
And here I have been beside myself over this current Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Capricorn! This current conjunction trines the natal conjunction exactly; the Deceptions are being uncovered and the Inspiration remains. Anyone who believes the market is based on greed has a prosperity issue.
Pluto sits in the 8th house of course, and being Aquarius lets us see that the market benefits the very poor, the charitable institutions which support those poor and offer them a new life in the long run.
The moon at 27degrees Pisces tells us the market is driven by our emotions; no news there! It is conjunct Saturn at 4 degrees Aries, which is within orb of Venus at 14 degrees Aries. All this activity is in the 10th house, right at the Top. This market is so inclusive of women, and womens rights! The heavy Saturn influences actually acts more as a fulcrum for balancing than oppressing; think of that, a Balance right at the top of the chart!
The Streets 11th house Taurus sun is 5 degrees, with Mercury right beside it at 1degree, retrograde. We may wisely share our counsel as to what we have done, what we intend to do, and how much we have done it, when it comes to our success strategy! Taurus is such a fruitful and productive sign, and the 11th house is about including everyone in our success!
The part of Fortune is 26 degrees of Taurus, in the 11th house. This forms the leg of a beautiful Grand Trine in Air. We should talk, exchange ideas, invent new forms, write about it in articles and stories and novels, talk about it as much as we can, because talking about it increases the good energy! The American Stock Market was made so that all could share in the wealth and riches of our nation and industry in a productive and healthful way!
I prefer the Sibley birth chart for the United States, as opposed the more popular 2AM birth time; the Sibley chart reflects best the history and changes faced by the US through its lifetime. I also read in real time, thus am using sidereal astrology. This is the chart.
The chart reckoned by the tropical seasons is not so much different from the sidereal chart, only inasmuch as it is more detailed, and that detail is eerily accurate! Both charts indicate our national good humor and optimism, as well as our obsession with sports, especially if that sport involves horses! Sagittarius rising lets the world know that the USA is a natural cowboy, the icon that most often represents us at our best. A restless and freedom loving lot, we respect religion, education, and those who have traveled far in the world; we won't tolerate being ordered around or talked down to!
The sidereal chart shows us to have a Scorpio eagle rising, again, highly accurate for us and for our spiritual reality. The 20th degree of Scorpio fades into a Sagittarian first house, so there is little difference here, indeed, none to worry us!
With Pluto in the second house we know how to make do, make over, remake, and recycle; we are hardy pioneers who flourish despite the odds. With this placement we are a bit fixated on money, a little extravagant, and tend to make snap judgments, being quick minded and impatient. The natural nobility and promise of our Aquarian soul as represented by the moon at 5 degrees of this sign shines our from the third house of The Populace, or We The People. We desire freedom and liberty for all, whether or not they be our friends.
We love science and mathematics, big loud machines and anything shiny and fast, says our Uranus in the sixth house of Taurus; our versatility is proverbial, as is our eccentricity; we as a nation have real concern for the rest of the globe. Mars in Taurus lets everyone know we will defend what is ours. The sun in Gemini imbues us with that duality so noted by foreigners, and keen observers of American culture; we love what we love, and can put it away from us with an awful disassociation. We have the sun, Venus, and Jupiter all in a row in Gemini, in the seventh house of Others, proof that we as a nation have unexpected opportunity for exceptional service to others. Mercury in Cancer shows our patriotism, love of mom and apple pie big enough to be shared by everyone in the neighborhood, just like in Norman Rockwell's art.
Even our national reach for the medicine cabinet is here at the top of the chart with Neptune in detriment in Virgo. Strange dietary fads, our obsession with hygiene, and labor troubles emanate from here, as well as our spiritual faculties, for we are a spiritual people with visions and prophetic dreams.
Typically American, we have no planetary ruler; we are a nation of Laws, and those Laws have limits.
Our Most Significant Spiritual Opus!
Dion Fortune, who during the second world war took part in the magical Battle of Britain, recorded her participation in a book by the same name published in 1993. It has since gone out of print and the copies are fetching enormous prices; so I am going to paraphrase a bit here, to outline a process similar to that which saved the world from fascism, Hitler, and terrible spiritual evil in the 30s.
She organized those member of her Society of Light and sent letters to everyone involved once a week, as a connecting psychic link. A good idea; but the idea of a common egregor may I think work much better in these days of instant technology.
In occult understanding, that is a phoenix, the bird which never dies, but arises from its own ashes. You can see this on the US dollar bill, another recognizable and popular American icon; the phoenix is rising from the flames with the 13 arrows and the olive branch in its talons.
IMHO, this is our national egregor (see complete explaination below) and may be used as a focal point.
Dion instructed every recipient to set aside 15 minutes on a particular, agreed-upon day, for focusing. She told them to sit comfortably with their feet on the floor and their hands clasped to form a complete circuit, to accomplish their meditations.
(This is akin to kneeling, making the sign of the Cross, and putting ones hands together in prayer, which I find is much more composing, forceful, and safe.)
She recommends sitting facing the Capitol, which in our case is Washington D.C., or the White House. She instructed the participants to review the egregor immediately before the meditation starts, not too long beforehand, for maximum concentration. Her method is to relax, pay attention to your breathing, then focus on the egregor. Don't force a picture, but focus and let it form. Don't try to think of practical methods of application; stay in the spiritual dimension. See the egregor in your minds eye and slow your mind down until you feel rather than reason; listen to the egragor.
When you are firmly fixed, dedicate yoursel in the name of the Good to the service of the One. Let the Good come through unimpeded. Relay on the Cosmic Forces to do the work.
See yourself as part of the One, part of the egregor, which is part of the fabric of the sky, which is the Universe. Invoke the name of God, and open yourself as a channel for the Light of the Cosmos. See the egregor again in your mind.
At the end of 15 minutes, pull yourself up and out and pronounce, 'it it done', or a suitable similar sentence. Ground yourself firmly, and close your psychic circuits down. This is as important as opening them up; if you don't ground, you will go around like a space cadet all day, and the work that your hands could have done will flial in the ethers.
If we, as persons of power, will set aside 15 minutes every Friday (Friday is the day of Venus, Netzach, or Victory) from 10 till 1015AM which is when most people have their first coffee break, we could make a profound change in the spiritual environment.
We all know and recognize that our nation faces unique challenges now, and in the days ahead. If you have read The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, you are pretty savy as to the source of the trouble, and what it is capable of doing.
A long standing member of the Medicine Otters has suggested that we offer prayer, meditation, energy, Reiki, song, poem, light, and healing for our nation, its peoples, and all she stands for as the most important part of our spiritual work at this time.
I think this is right; America has given us, and the rest of the world, so much, and now she is in real trouble. We can rise and go to her aid.
Chart of the Next Presidential Inauguration, January 20 2013
Candidate 2: Mitt Romney
I admit that the stars favor Mitt the most; the moon will be in his natal fourth house of Cancer conjuncting his natal Pluto, while transiting Jupiter traverses his first house. How could he lose???
Evil Personified: George Soros
The opposition of Saturn in the second house and Jupiter in the eighth tells you all you need to know about his prosperity issue; Mars in Taurus tells us he is aggressive when it comes to collecting property and wealth, and Venus in Virgo tells us he has no joy. Ugh! I don't know if he really is the AntiChrist; Hitler had Neptune in the 8th house, telling us that he was open to possession by SomeThing Else, but Soros is evil all on his own.
