The daily lights, calculated from real time at sunrise on the Pacific coast, for Thursday 22 February 2018

The moon roars through Aries the Spring Lamb in the earliest morning, before grazing peacefully into Taurus, green and cool, at 7 25 AM Pacific, 10 25 AM eastern time.  The cool Aquarian sun shines on, like a dime in the wintry sky.  Fire and air, action and ideas!! With the moon in Aries  we at our most daring and reckless, hedonistic and rebellious.  We are also at our most anxious about what others think about our style.  Not the time to combine purple and green with orange in the ensemble!  Special care must be taken of the head and face, as these are at their most vulnerable at this transit.  Recall, 'touch not with iron those parts of the body resided by the moon.'  You won't die if you get a face lift now, but you won't heal as rapidly and recover as fully, either.

We dream of little things, fuzzy and warm and cuddly, full of new life and budding fast!  It's a cheery, hope-filled day!

At mid morning, the Taurus moon and Aquarian sun square off.  With the moon in Taurus we are practical, economical, and sensitive to harmony.  We may shop, with an eye to price, but consider the best value for the money.  We are also at our most persuasive and most stubborn!  Not the time to spoil the ship for a pennys worth of tar!  Special care must be taken of the neck and throat, as these are at their most vulnerable at this transit.  Recall, 'touch not with iron those parts of the body resided by the moon.'  You won't die if you get a whiplash now, but you won't heal as rapidly and recover as fully, either.

A healing day!!

Tomorrow, Friday, is the second in Lent, and may be problematic to boot.  We may want to go Trappist!!

The upcoming weekend, the last in February, finds us in spirits in need of recharge.  Let's go out into that silver sunshine and light it up with our goodwill!

Many devout Christians take this 40 day period of Lent to review the passion of the Christ, and to sacrifice some worldly pursuits for spiritual strength and purification.  Like works, this won't get us to perfection, but it puts earthly life in perspective.

Happy happy happy February!  Spring is almost here!!

Let's celebrate, Star Travelers!

Talk about shaking off the blues!
Buoying along in Aquarius, Mercury gives that fresh approach and innovative shine to our ideas.  Our words sparkle like a rainbow!  The best time of year to really put our minds to work on the insolvable, and to reach out to broaden our social circle.

The phantom moon Vulcan tickles our who identity concept now.

Get ready for a whole new outlook!!

A time to broaden our values!!  Venus into Aquarius enhances our compassion, but pours cold water on the passion itself.   Venus, the golden girl of the cosmos, peruses Aquarian ideas, ideals, and oddities in a lazy, meandering way.   Venus in Aquarius is a friendly but friends-only sign, so we may not miss much on St. Valentines Day!

We greet the spring with her inner grace, vast spiritual treasures, and rich splendor on March 3 rd when she is exalted in Pisces, our own special sign!

Getting Together!
Fidgety Mars takes a quick journey through Scorpio, a sign he feels quite comfortable in stirring up, upsetting, blasting with sound and fury.  Our best bet is hard physical exercise, which will benefit us in more than one way!

Optimal thinking wins now!

Mighty, benevolent Jupiter, now in Libra, enhances and expands all that is elegant, refined, sweetly harmonious and charming.  What a year we have ahead!

Maybe this isn't the time to go back to school...

Saturn is making a straight shot through Sagittarius, stalling our travel plans and putting a damper on our school credits.  The dour schoolteacher of the cosmos, at his best, can steady all the wild sky horses with sober calm, turning their tricks into reigns to guide our own inner drives with a more mature hand.  We  have the next couple of years to study the laws by which we live and measure them against the Laws by which we really live.  If there is a discrepancy, now is the time to address such issues. Schooling and study itself will come under scrutiny and some fire.  Test the tester!!  We will find travel restrictions are nothing new and hard as iron now, and we need to seriously consider the need for borders.  Saturn is all about form, walls, and watching.

All the fuss is about just that, fuss.
Uranus, the cosmic hand grenade, blasts through Aries on the 0 degree, all or nothing at all.  Our sudden impulses and tracks seem so intense!!  As spring launches itself upon us, he will explode through the Spring Lamb like a soccer match on steroids.  Sports, military maneuvers, policing issues and leadership opportunities seem to materialize out of the air, and demand immediate action.  Let's be ready to think on our feet, Star Travelers!   This can be a fun time full of exploration, innovation, experimentation.

Fussy and fuzzy too!
Neptune, orb of inspiration and music, bouys in Aquarius, the sign of ideas, brotherhood, idealism, and innovation.  We wisely recognize that this is of another world, of art, sensational music, beauty of a spiritual nature.

Truth will out!

Pluto, the fateful, fitful energy orb which can open our eyes to what is really there in front of us cruises in the sign of true blue Sagittarius.  Our core beliefs about religion, the law, The Law, education, and foreign affairs will be challenged, turned upside down and inside out, and we are wise to move through slowly to examine our own innards to see what is really going on there.  Sagittarius is the great Truth Seeker.  Let's not disappoint Him! With courage, dignity, and grace, we can refine and now redefine who and what we are, in our inner reality.  As Pluto next visits the sign of government, dads everywhere, the corporate culture, we can emerge much more sure of ourselves and our beliefs and principles by engaging with Fate now!

Pluto will engage with the sun and with Venus on the 9 th of January 2018 in a powerful embrace which is bound to change feelings, values, and core beliefs, bringing to the surface all that is rotten and obstructive to be lanced, cleansed, purified, and healed.  This may be a painful process but not likely violent, especially if we do not fight it, but go with the tides of heaven.

There are no planets retrograde as we spring through the new year!!!

At home

The planette which keeps watch on the home fires, Vesta, fires in Scorpio!!  Whew! And I don't just mean soup!

Romance or not?

Our spousal planette Juno bops through platonic Aquarius, full of cool connections.  Juno is almost never happy when alone, or when committed.

Our health and welfare issues

can be fixed if we want to take the time to go back and work on our inner emotional issues.  With the planette Chiron, our Wounded Healer, retrograde in Pisces now, real success is possible when using color, theater, drama, or past life therapy.

Our social interchange

Pallas, the planettary BFF and sister in arms, jumps the hoop in Aries big time! She uses this as a launch pad for making new friends and annoying old ones.

Mom and things mom

The planette Ceres, the cook of the solar system, resets everything at Home in Cancer, where she reconfigures, revitalizes, revisualizes, and revamps our kitchen, redecorates, and invites the whole neighborhood to her board.

This marks the third complete lunation for this year.

Happy February!!

Spring is Just Around the Corner!!!

Happy Birthday Aquarius!!!

The second month of the year features the darkest of winter nights as a backdrop for the most stars!  The sun rises now in the mysterious sign of Aquarius, the Woman With The Alabaster Jar.

Aquarius and Pisces both have intense energies of The Magdalene.

Scholars and historians alike have long wondered about the identity of the man who carried the water jug in Jerusalem, found in Luke 22 and Mark 14.  Jesus specifically mentioned this man to His disciples as the one to be followed to the house he would
enter.  The man led them to a house with an upper room, where they gathered and prepared the Passover feast and the Last supper.  It was in this same upper room where they gathered to receive the outpouring of the Comforter in the form of tongues of fire.

We are wise to put this in the context of preparation for endings, for the end, for a time of sacrifice, which few associate with Aquarius.

The Water Bearer appears again in the Garden of Gethsemane, wearing a linen shroud, following after the man about to be arrested and crucified.  He is a fascinating and underreported figure here, as no one can put him in any context that's explicable outside that of being an outsider.

The gender and identity of the Water Bearer is multi-layered, as we see from the current rage for questioning these and the concepts behind them.

The next time you see clouds, think of them as water bearers!!

Large and small, birds, play an important part of our early spring observances as in our national life.  Though not exactly heralds of romance, eagles are known to mate for life, as are swans and cardinals.  Birds are symbols of activity in the Aquarian heavens, and that portion of our lives which may fall within that domain.  Pay attention, Star Travelers!  The Ancients considered Cygnus, which forms a distinctive cross of stars, to be a point destination for the souls of the dead at departure.  Cygnus was a close friend of Phaeton, who dived into the sea and swam in circles trying to recover the body of his lost friend after his fiery catastrophe.

We star gazers, readers of Gods word written in the heavens, know the names of the stars of Aquarius, the Water Bearer, include The Record of the Pouring Out; Who Goes and Returns, the Urn, and What Issues From The Flowing Stream. Those people and relationships born under these stars are connected with commercial and literary affairs, guiding stars in every sense, and have excellent powers of concentration.

The Southern Fish sparkles in the sunrise today.  The individual names for these stars of this Star Fish indicate the nature of the constellation is one of The Mouth of The Fish, None Wasted But All Received.  Those people and relationships born under these stars are born to be before the public, with magnetic, psychic personalities.

The wise and prudent will consider her actions and issues through this lens.

Season of The Visionary!!!

The Christian Aquarius knight on quest for the True Cross, the Great Work, or the Holy Grail.  The Christian Aquarius knight is out traversing the worlds, rescuing, slaying monsters, banishing evildoers, and salvaging treasures.  As an Aquarius, this knight quests continually on every level until he brings heaven and earth together again in harmony, brotherhood, tolerance, and freedom.  Called the Big Brother, this optimistic, honest, and independent knight is inventive, enthusiastic, and original in all his pursuits and endeavors.  His charm can be felt over his abruptness.

Judging the character by the names of the stars in the sign, the Aquarius knight notes The Record of the Pouring Out; Who Goes and Returns, and what issues from The Flowing Stream.

The spiritual light of Aquarius is subtle violet, that same shade found at the top of the skull, as a crown of glowing violet soul light.  Violet energy rays, like Aquarius, are unifying, harnessing people and events for altruistic and universally beneficial purpose.

Under the violet light of Aquarius, we are able to accept our connection, and to realize the hard and unbending truth that what we do to one another, we do to ourselves.  In rending another person we expose what we are within.

By intentionally spiritualizing our own minds and daily lives, we can begin to use the creative and inventive violet energy rays to promote healing and continuity. We can consciously bring to the fore undiscovered truths. We can unite people to further humanitarian and environmental causes. We can demonstrate the oneness of the whole and wholeness in the one.

Violet is a serene, calm and vibrant color long known to be spiritually activating and awakening.  It was anciently used to aid insomnia, headaches and eczema.   The flowers which bloom now have strong anti-bacterial properties, ideal for skin rashes or burns.

Add Lavender and jasmine oils for a seasonally Aquarian scent.

Foods include valerian and vervain for extra rest; eggplant, plums, kale, broccoli and purple grapes.

Amethyst and Clear Quartz crystals vibrate at much higher frequencies, opening us to the eternal, the heavenlies, our own higher selves and the Life source of the universe.
